loop4d picks the best hour to run or ride your route — most shade in summer, most sun in winter, with heat and wind. Here are the basics; for anything else, just email us.
How do I add a route?
Tap GPX file and choose a .gpx file, or use Share → loop4d (or “Open with loop4d”) from Files, Mail, Strava, komoot or Garmin Connect. Then pick a date and tap Find my hour.
What file types are supported?
GPX routes and tracks (.gpx). Most apps and watches can export your route as GPX.
The first analysis is slow — why?
The first time you analyse a new area, loop4d downloads the terrain and canopy data for it. That takes a few seconds; the same route is instant after that.
Do I need an account or internet?
No account, ever. You need a connection for the first analysis of an area (to fetch terrain and weather); after that, a previously-viewed area works offline.
Is my route data private?
Yes — your route is analysed on your device and never uploaded to us. See our Privacy Policy.
We'd love to hear it. Email hello@loop4d.com with what happened (and the route/date if relevant) and we'll take a look.
